“I absolutely loved this retreat! Elisa and Mari where great professionals that guided the whole group experience. The yoga practices are challenging and energizing. The watercolour was relaxing and rewarding. We also had fun activities that allowed the group to connect, engage and feel close to one another. It all tied beautifully by the end :) The cortijo was gorgeous, full of hidden places to rest and meditate. I came back home feeling bright, loved and happy. Amazing experience overall! "
“Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed the retreat and how much I have changed in a positive way as a result. You have given us a beautiful and safe place to grow and to leave the unnecessary baggage behind. I can't thank you enough for that. You are beautiful people, inside and out. Your passion for this profession is so clearly visible. I am so enthusiastic and positive that I have told everyone I know about your retreat and passed on your site, because you deserve a stage! Next year I would like to participate in one of the retreats ! I love you and I will see you soon. "
The retreat hosted by Eli & Amelie was wonderful. They did a wonderful job planning it, seeing that it went well and making sure that everyone got the most out of it they could. They seemed to try to cater to everyone there, which was amazing, and seems like it took extra thought and love. There are many positives or things I would like to review here, but for brevity, I will just do my personal highlights. Prior to the retreat, I was happy to know that we would have a weekend full of yoga and probably sessions that lasted longer than the normal hour or so session, but it turned out to be more complete than just that. To start, from the moment I paid for the retreat, everything ran smoothly. As for the retreat itself, having a weekend in nature, away from the big city, proved perfect. Due to these 2 reasons, I was able to “dip my foot in or sample” the yoga retreat world to help me determine if I want to do a full retreat. To start, the asana and pranayama sessions went better than I hoped. Like I previously said, coming into it, I was just happy we would have a weekend of yoga, but what I didn’t know was our yang sessions, one hatha and one vinyasa were about more than just the asanas. The Hatha session with the breath work was the star for me. It allowed me to gain a more complete understanding and experience of the yogic life. The vinyasa flow the next day was also wonderful, but the experience during the Hatha class was what I was hoping to find during the weekend. In addition to the Hatha class, what else helped me to experience that yogic life was the Yin side and more importantly, the Restorative Yoga class. I LOVE high tempo, strong resistance styles of yoga. It is hard for me to take a step back and slow down, even when I know it is what is needed. (This is one of the reasons I did the retreat.) Amelie’s approach to Restorative Yoga did offer that changing experience, which I was hoping for, though I had no clue it would come from a Restorative Yoga class. If yoga is about self-realisation, this retreat furthered my exploration along that path. I am a practical person. I am not doing something if there is no practicality or ROI to it. This retreat further proved to me that there is practicality to living this lifestyle. For that, I am grateful. The asana and pranayama sessions; the yin and restorative sessions; the simple, but well balanced, tasty meals; the inexpensive price of the retreat; the goodie bag that we received; the handmade bracelets by Eli; the sauna in the middle of a wet, rainy field; the free time I had to walk and write in my journal, the cacao ceremony, and the space created, with the help of all the people at the retreat, allowed me to further examine myself through the yogic way. For that, again I am grateful!!
The retreat was just perfect! Very professionally organized (location, food, programme), practice was very good balanced and accessible to all levels (first time yoga or advanced yoga practice) and there was sufficient time for contemplation and integration. I will definately join a future retreat, this time a longer one :). Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!
The teachers did not only held a beautiful retreat, but they also held space for us so that we could truly and fully relax and let go. The yoga, the food, and every single one of their attention felt genuine and thought through. The balance between yang and yin practice, meditation, and free time was simply perfect.
After the retreat, I felt calmer and ready to enter back a more 'normal' life with a way more grounded feeling. From the program to the gift they gave us, they also contributed to making this feeling of groundedness linger even after the retreat, which was really transformative.
All in all, I couldn't have dreamt of a better, more suitable retreat to nurture our inner selves.
